Andie LCSW, LSCSW, RPT
PRESIDENT
Katina "Andie”, LCSW, LSCSW, RPT, is a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker with a diverse background in clinical practice and education. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from NC State University (2013) and a Master of Social Work with a specialization in military communities from the University of South Carolina (2016). In 2019, Andie further enhanced her credentials by obtaining her Registered Play Therapist (RPT) certification and is actively working on the RPT Supervisor designation.Andie's clinical expertise spans across various domains, including child and family therapy, military mental health, and parenting support. Her professional experience encompasses work in child welfare, domestic violence intervention, community clinics, and military hospital settings. She is particularly adept at addressing parenting anxieties and strengthening caregiver-child relationships through evidence-based interventions, including play therapy. Andie is also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, further broadening her therapeutic toolkit.
In addition to her direct clinical work, Andie is committed to advancing the field of mental health by providing clinical supervision to social workers in Kansas and offering continuing education to mental health providers through Sand Dollar Learning Systems. Her focus on practitioner development extends to mentoring therapists in private practice management and growth strategies. Outside of her professional endeavors, Andie enjoys traveling and spending time with her two corgis, Da Vinci and Duncan.

Marque LSCSW, RPT
PRESIDENT-ELECT
Marque is a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker and Registered Play Therapist, proudly graduated from Metropolitan State University of Denver. With a deep passion for helping individuals and families thrive, she's had the privilege of working in both community mental health settings and private practice. This range of experience has allowed her to support clients from all walks of life, and to develop a compassionate, flexible approach to therapy.She specializes in working with children and adult women, using a variety of therapeutic modalities to meet each person’s unique needs. Her approach is grounded in evidence-based practices, and includes Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy. She believes that healing happens in a safe and supportive environment, and strives to create that space for every client she meets.

Kylee LCMFT, RPT-S
PAST PRESIDENT
Kylee is a Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist and Registered PlayTherapist Supervisor, graduating from Friends University in Wichita, KS, with a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. Previously, she attended Wichita State University and received her bachelor’s degree in psychology and sociology. She is currently pursuing her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology, with a specialization in Counseling.Kylee currently is the Director of the Learn and Play Therapeutic Center in Hutchinson, KS, serving 3–5-year-old children who have faced early adversity. She also co-owns a private practice in Wichita, KS and clinically treats clients of all ages, while also being afaculty member at Friends University with the Marriage and Family Therapy program.Kylee is certified in Parent Child Interaction Therapy, is a trained facilitator in Couples’Communication, Prepare & Enrich, and is Level II Gottman certified to help those struggling in their personal relationships. She also strives to help children and families connect more deeply throughout her work. More specifically, Kylee is certified in Pre-Natal, Infant, and Toddler Attachment and Bio behavioral Catch-up, able to treat children and families as early as in-utero.Kylee is beyond excited to serve on the board and cannot wait to see what this journey has in store for the organization, newly elected board, herself, and her certified service dog, Rory, who helps her complete her work!

Lindsay LSCSW, LICSW, RPT-S
SECRETARY/MEMBERSHIP
Lindsay is a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker (Kansas), a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (Minnesota), and a Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor™ (RPT-S™). She earned both her Bachelor of Social Work and Master of Social Work degrees from Wichita State University, where she also completed an undergraduate certificate in Diversity Studies.Lindsay serves as the Clinical Director at Sunlight Children's Services, providing leadership and oversight for the organization's mental health program at both the Sunlight Child Advocacy Center in El Dorado, Kansas, and Sunlight Children's Home in Andover, Kansas. In addition to her leadership role, she has clinical experience in community mental health working with children and families impacted by trauma.
Lindsay specializes in the assessment and treatment of childhood trauma, abuse, and attachment-related concerns, with a primary focus on children ages 3–10. She has extensive training in Child-Centered Play Therapy (CCPT) and incorporates a variety of other evidence-based and developmentally appropriate treatment approaches, including TraumaPlay™, Theraplay™, Sandtray Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Child-Parent Relationship Therapy (CPRT). Lindsay is also trained in Problematic Sexual Behavior–Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (PSB-CBT).
Passionate about advancing the field, Lindsay is committed to mentoring and supporting fellow clinicians through consultation, clinical supervision, and play therapy supervision. She enjoys helping therapists build confidence and competence as they pursue independent clinical licensure and Registered Play Therapist™ (RPT™) credentialing while encouraging excellence in trauma-informed, child-centered care.

Jennifer LSCSW, RPT
CONFERENCE CHAIR
Jennifer is a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker and Registered Play Therapist. She graduated from Wichita State University with her master's degree in Social Work in 2013.
She has been fortunate to work in both community mental health and currently in private practice. She works with a wide range of clients and believes authenticity and meeting a client where they are is the foundation for healing. In her spare time, she enjoys running and spending time with friends and family.

Dusti LMFT, LCMFT, RPT
SOCIAL MEDIA
Dusti Powell is a Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist, Registered Play Therapist, EMDR Certified Therapist and Approved Consultant, and AAMFT Approved Supervisor. She earned her bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Kansas and her master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Friends University.
Dusti is the co-owner of Fortis, a group practice serving children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families throughout the Kansas & Missouri. She specializes in play therapy, trauma, first responders, and veteran families using evidence-based approaches to strengthen relationships.
In addition to her clinical work, Dusti serves as the coordinator for the Heartland Kansas Trauma Recovery Network, providing trauma response services throughout Johnson and Wyandotte Counties. She is an adjunct professor and supervisor in the Marriage and Family Therapy program at Friends University, where she enjoys mentoring future therapists.
Dusti became a Registered Play Therapist in 2012 and is currently working toward becoming a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor. She is committed to advancing the profession through clinical supervision, consultation, and continuing education, helping therapists grow in confidence while providing compassionate, effective care.

Laura LCPC-S, RPT

Owner & Therapist, Laurel Tree Counseling and Play Therapy | Therapist, Middle Path Counseling
Laura is an LCPC-S and RPT. She earned her Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Kansas (KU) and her Play Therapy Certificate from MidAmerica Nazarene University (MNU). She works with clients of all ages—from children to adults—and utilizes play therapy techniques across the lifespan. Laura holds certifications in EMDR, DBT, AutPlay, and Level 1 Theraplay.
Laura is a dedicated therapist and educator who approaches mental health with warmth, compassion, and a deep commitment to collaboration. As a former high school English teacher and school counselor, she inherently believes that lifelong learning benefits both her and the clients she serves.
Driven by her passion for teaching, Laura also serves as an adjunct faculty member in MNU’s Play Therapy Certificate Program and provides supervision to the next generation of therapists.. In her clinical practice, she focuses on empowering clients with practical, life-changing skills in distress tolerance, emotional regulation, interpersonal communication, and mindfulness.
Outside the Office:
When she isn't teaching or supporting clients, Laura loves cooking and baking for her family, traveling, hiking, and immersing herself in nature. She is also an avid reader, lifelong learner, pet lover, and enthusiastic bird watcher.
